Lumbini Technological University Signed MoU with NSDevil for Joint R&D and Business Cooperation

Nepalgunj, Banke — Lumbini Technological University (LTU) has entered into a strategic partnership with NSDevil (North Star, Developer's Village), South Korea through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement, signed that marks the beginning of a collaborative effort in research and development (R&D) as well as business cooperation, utilizing the advanced platforms of UBT Cloud, UBL Cloud, and NSD-AI. The collaboration aims to advance technology, foster innovation, and explore new opportunities in cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI).

Objectives of the MoU

The primary objectives of the MoU are as follows:

  1. Joint Research and Development: To undertake collaborative R&D projects in cloud computing and AI, with the goal of developing innovative solutions that address real-world challenges.
  2. Business Cooperation: To explore and establish joint business ventures that capitalize on the technological strengths of both institutions.
  3. Knowledge Exchange: To facilitate the exchange of expertise, resources, and best practices between LTU and NSDevil, thereby enhancing the capabilities of both organizations.

Signing Ceremony

The MoU signing ceremony took place at the Lumbini Technological University senate hall in Nepalgunj, with key representatives from both LTU and NSDevil in attendance. Prof. Dr. Binod Prasad Dhakal, Vice-Chancellor of LTU, and Mr. Seungyong Shin (Cavin Shin), Chairman of NSDevil, were the principal signatories. The event was attended by Registrar of LTU Mr. Reg Bahadur Bhandari, Service Commission Member Prof. Dr. Krishna Prasad Ghimire, Dean of IOEIT at LTU Dr.Kirti Kusum Joshi, faculty members , researcher and staffs.

In his opening remarks, Registrar Reg Bahadur Bhandari welcomed the all participants and emphasized the significance of this partnership in driving technological innovation and fostering academic excellence. He expressed confidence that the collaboration with NSDevil would result in the development of cutting-edge solutions that benefit both the academic community and the broader society.

Mr. Seungyong Shin (Cavin Shin), in his address, highlighted the strategic importance of the MoU for NSDevil, stating that the partnership with LTU aligns with the company’s vision of pushing the boundaries of cloud computing and AI. He expressed excitement about the potential for creating impactful solutions through this collaboration. He offered the technologies for the paper less exam which is based on advance android system in Tablet.

  1. Cloud Computing: Joint efforts in developing and deploying cloud-based solutions using UBT Cloud and UBL Cloud platforms.

UBT CLOUD is a cloud based examination platform in application of smart devices (PC, smart phones, tablets), which establishes the learning assessment system anywhere.  It is an online testing platform optimized for a non face-to-face learning environment.

  • AI Supervisor service to analyze examinee’s movements
  • Interwork with UBT REC app to record video and sound to manage test environment
  • Cheating pattern detection and data verification through 3D restoration analysis technology
  • Monitoring the density of examinees through their location
  • Global test support through NSD Cloud

 

 

 

UBL (Ubiquitous-based Learning) Cloud is a learning platform that implements online education on tablet PCs, PCs, and mobile devices. It provides an easy content-building tool (such as Drag & Drop), and a two-way communication interface. You can set up an integrated and user-friendly education environment through the global CDN (Content Delivery Network) and a variety of functions, such as chatting, real-time quiz and survey, control on a learner’s screen through AI-based technology.

AI supervisor is a technology that utilizes facial movement recognition to prevent test taker cheating and improve concentration.
