Introduction
Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or BSc. Agriculture program is a four year, 8 semester program of Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science. The course consists of 167 credit hours in total. Students are taught both technical and non-technical subjects for preparing them professionally. This program aims to produce manpower for agricultural development particularly on teaching, research, and handling and using of modern agricultural equipment and technologies.
Objectives of BSc Agriculture:
1. To make student understand the various aspects of agriculture science and enrich skills in using modern equipment, tools and techniques associated with the same.
2. To develop students’ competencies in inventive and pragmatic thinking as agricultural professional for solving problems in rural, semi-rural and urban setup.
3. BSc. Agriculture program prepare students with desirable attitudes, knowledge and skills for facing the complex and challenging problems in this field and linking it with economic development of the country.
4. To motivate students for involving them in lifelong agricultural practices and further study and research in this field.
Entrance exam for Bachelor of Science in Agriculture:
1. Time duration: 2 hours, Total marks: 160, multiple choice objective questions.
2. 25 marks for each subject in Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, English, Math and 10 marks in General Agriculture.
3. Merit list is published after the entrance with 80% marks of Entrance, 10% of SLC and 10% of Intermediate level.
