Master of travel and tourism management (MTTM) is a two year course. This degree is based on the semester system. Altogether, MTTH has been divided into four semesters. This course was designed with mission of making students well familiar with the knowledge of travel and vacation industry related operation, packages, managerial function and management ideas. This curriculum is designed with the purpose of giving comprehensive knowledge to all the interested students and as well as to the professional, who are already working in this field but lacks in depth knowledge and specialized skills. Practical skill along with the theoretical knowledge is very essential in the global market. MTTM has been a very demanding degree in this modern time. In the MTTM degree, there are exactly six specialization areas: Airlines Management, Entrepreneurship, International Tourism, Event & Conference, Hotel Operation Management, Product Development, and Public Relations & Promotion in MTTM. In the first and second semester, all the subjects are same for all. However, in the third and fourth semester, students have two choose any two elective subjects out of six electives subjects in each semester. There is internship project in third semester and final project in fourth semester, so that the graduate will be able to cope with the arising challenges of the travel industry.
The main objectives of MTTM degree are listed below:
1. To provide advance theoretical knowledge, as having sound knowledge of this degree is very essential in the field of management.
2. This course aspires to impart analytical and problem solving skills so as to cope with present and emerging challenges and helps to develop ability to innovate genuine solution for it.
3. This course aspires to endow knowledge in students about conducting the empirical and applied research in the field of travel industry and also meet the challenges of this industry.
4. This course aims to develop talent in students for taking leadership role and to act in response to concerns of travel industry.
